@Justin: Thanks!

@Brian: My family has a place and a business in Argentina. We're international, yo! Yeah, was disappointed not to Day 2 after such a solid start. I think I learned two valuable lessons at the tournament though. The first is that no matter how much I don't want a draw, it's still better to play at a pace that is comfortable for me. My match win % goes way down every time I try to rush to avoid time issues. The second lesson is that I always want a fighting chance after board, and that overboarding for one match isn't worth having little to no board for another.

@All: The 8-year old's father was a GP winner in the past. Must be awesome having your dad coach you to victory!

Do you mean illegally coaching during games, or just having a dad who is good at Magic coaching you prior to events?

It looked like there were a lot of people watching the kid's matches doubt they could have pulled that off even if they wanted to try.

Is this a serious question?

If you don't use it, do you lose it?

Yeah, I was seriously asking. I couldn't tell from Alex's web tone what he was saying. I assumed he just meant at home, but it wasn't entirely clear.

I just meant that he had been drilled at home. Nothing remotely untoward was going on, so far as I could tell!
