Default Deck Advice

Here is my take on Martyr. There are a lot of terrible versions out there, but this list seems fairly viable, with good mu's against anything red and most anything creature based. Obviously this leaves a huge hole in the control/combo match ups. In my extensive testing I seem to go 50/50 against Dark D and slightly worse against Thopter. Fae are a huge problem, I'd like to improve my SB and even MB to deal with these decks.

I added the EE to help against Fae, seems helpful but maybe not the best. And really it does nothing else for my sb. I thought about Darkblast, but I honestly can think of the game plan for that - keep dredging DB, let their Bitter kill them and resolve what I can? Does that actually work?

At one point I was tempted to splash red, for Pyroclasm/Fallout and Bloodmoon. Bloodmoon doesn't help me against the bad match ups, pyro I guess doesn't cut it against Fae, and Fallout is double red.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

for martyr

first off, bump up the numbers of basic plains, you always want emeria as active as possible.

castigate is going to be better than thoughtseize 95% of the time
run more o-rings for faeries, it is always strong. or maybe something like duergar hedge-mage and bump up the number of foundries.
i would run 2x emeria, and 1x mistveil plains.
fetid heaths should be plains or lands with plains in their subtypes,

run moonlight bargain over worship, confi, and sculler,
run a 1x necrotic sliver to actually win the game when you get there.

I admittedly don't know that much about the importance of Emeria to the deck, but if there is only one Emeria, then the probability that he doesn't have enough plains yet is only 35%.

Also, the average number of lands he has to draw before he has both Emeria and 7+ plains drops faster if he takes out 2 Plains and adds 2 Emeria, rather than if he simply changes other non-plains to plains.
