KOLKATA, India (AP) - Football's world governing body FIFA has chosen the eastern city of Kolkata to host the OSRS Gold final of the under-17 World Cup to be held in India.A team of FIFA officials completed a week-long tour and finalized six venues for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, which is scheduled to begin on October 28.The Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata will also host the quarter finals and the play-off for third place.



Tournament matches will also be held in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Goa, Guwahati and Kochi, the head of FIFA events, Jaime Yarza said Monday."Football Takes Over" was declared the slogan of the tournament, the draw for which will be held in Mumbai on July 7.India automatically secured its place in the competition as tournament hosts.



Other countries that have already qualified for the U-17 World Cup include Iran, Iraq, Japan, North Korea, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia and New Zealand. Teams representing countries from Europe, North and Central America, the Caribbean and Africa will qualify in the coming months.The draw for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 will take place on July 7 in Mumbai.
